夜尋Bicheno的小企鵝 Looking for Little Penguin in Bicheno at Night

  

To prepare for going to Wineglass Bay on the following day, we stayed at Bicheno in the previous evening.  We have booked house with four bedrooms at "Bicheno by the Bay" to accommodate the 8 of us.  為了方便前去杯酒灣，之前的晚上我們留宿於Bicheno。在Bicheno by The Bay訂了一所有4間睡房的渡假屋，足夠我們8人住。(www.bichenobythebay.com.au)

Bicheno is a town on the east coast of Tasmania.  We chatted with the restaurant owner when having dinner.  She told us that it was easy to see penguins at night in Bicheno, especially along ditches.

Bicheno位於塔斯曼尼亞東面海岸。晚餐時，我们和餐館老闆聊天。 她告訴我們，於晚上很容易見到企鵝，特别是在溝渠附近。

We were excited with this activity at night and our accommodation was close to the shore.  We brought small torches to go out and walk along the esplanade at waterfront.  The moon was bright, making the walk comfortable.  We walked to the rock shore near the Blow Hole and could hear a lot of the penguins chirping who hid themselves in the small bushes.  With the hints from the restaurant owner, we walked along the ditches and could really found penguins.

大家都對這額外節目大感興趣，而且住宿地點也靠近海邊，很方便。我們帶了小電筒沿著海濱的路走，那晚月滿光亮，在Blow Hole附近的岩石岸邊，聽到藏匿在矮樹林很多企鵝的叫聲。 隨著餐館老闆的提示，我們順著溝渠走去，真的可以找到企鹅。能近距離見到可愛的企鵝很開心，但我們都僅記不大聲說話，不用強光照牠們，亦不走得太近，以免嚇怕企鵝。

On the way back to our house, we also saw a possum and a wallaby.  What a good treasure that night!

在回去渡假屋時，我們還看到了一隻貂鼠(possum) 和小袋鼠(wallaby)。 那天晚上真是收穫甚豐！

To minimize the disturbance to penguins and to have higher chance of finding them, please note the followings:

為盡量减少對企鵝的騷擾，並増加找到企鵝的機會，注意以下幾點：

1. Don't use very bright torch nor the torch function of smart phones which will scare the penguins away.  Dim light will be better. 不要使用強光的手電筒或智能手機的電筒功能，這樣會嚇走企鵝。 可調暗的手電筒較合適。

2.  Don't speak loud.  不要高聲說話

3.  Don't walk near the penguins.  不要走得太近企鵝

Alert!!! 注意！！

While we enjoy the adventure, it is important not to disturb and not to scare the penguins.

在我們享受旅程的同時，必須留意不要打擾或嚇怕企鵝們。
